SL vs PAK: Sri Lankan team created history, clean sweep
against Pakistan in Test series
Dubai: Performing well, PSL 2018 Live Streaming the Sri Lankan cricket team has won
the Test series against Pakistan by 2-0 margin. Thanks to the excellent
performance of bowlers under the leadership of off-spinner Dilruwan Pereira,
Sri Lanka got the win. On the other hand, despite the Asad Shafiq century,
Pakistan had to face defeat by 68 runs in the second and final Test match. This
is the first time that Pakistan has lost a series in its 'second house' in the
United Arab Emirates. He has been playing in his domestic series UAE since the
terrorist attack on Sri Lankan team in Lahore in 2009. With this victory, Sri
Lanka's team has reached sixth position in the ICC Test Team Rankings while the
Pakistan team has slipped down one place to seventh. In the match, Shafiq (112)
and captain Sarfraj Ahmed (68) added 173 runs to win the hope of Pakistan but
it did not take time to finish the innings as the partnership broke down.
Chasing Pakistan's target of 317 runs, the final day of the day-night test
match was finally out for 248 runs in the first session. With the spectacular
bowling of Perera (5/98), Pakistan had lost five wickets for 52 runs yesterday
but after that Shafiq and Sarfaraz not only prevented the fall of the wicket
but also wished the hopes of winning their team. With both these efforts,
Pakistan yesterday took five wickets for 198 runs.
Pereira did not allow Sarfaraz to stay for long. The
Pakistani captain took his extra bounce and caught the ball on Deep square leg.
The off-spinner paused Mohammad Aamer (four) in the next over. Shafiq's finest
innings was ended by Suranga Lakhmal but the credit goes to Kushal Mendis who
took a great catch by putting a dive. Rangana Herath (2/57) took Yasir Shah
(five) and Wahab Riaz (one) out to give Sri Lanka victory. Pakistan thus lost
any domestic series for the first time since 2007. He then lost the series on
South Africa from his home country. Sri Lanka have also become the first team
to win in spite of being dismissed for less than 100 in the third innings of
the match in the last 115 years. He scored 96 runs in his second innings. Sri
Lanka scored 482 runs in their first innings, in response to Pakistan's
dismissal for 262 runs
